TSSA Amusement Device Training

TSSA Amusement Device Training

In the Province of Ontario, the Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA) requires Zip Lines and Free Fall Descender Devices to be registered as an “Amusement Device.” To see if your device qualifies, please see more information about operating an Amusement Device in Ontario.

A valid Amusement Device Mechanic (ADM) is required for sites operating an amusement device(s) in Ontario. As certified Amusement Device Mechanics, we are able to offer a full range of training services to clients in Ontario to support the operation of their Zip Line or Free Fall Descender Device.

These custom training workshops are designed in consultation with you to ensure your training needs are met, as well as ensuring you are TSSA compliant.

Services

  • Required training for staff in TSSA Skills 6.1, 6.2, 6.10, and 6.11
  • Skills required for the pre-operational inspection of your amusement device(s)
  • Passport, required for the pre-operational inspection of your amusement device(s)

If you are located outside of Ontario but within Canada, different provinces have regulatory bodies that oversee the operation of some components of Adventure Facilities such as Zip Lines and Free Fall Descender Devices. CUI can work with your organization to offer a fully customizable workshop that prepares your organization to meet any relevant provincial regulations.

*Our training and certification services are accredited by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) and follow the current ACCT/ANSI 03-2019 standards.
