After attending Algonquin College studying Electronic Engineering Technology, Dave joined the CUI team starting in May 2005. Prior to arriving at CUI, Dave spent his springs and summers working at Camp Opemikon. Dave had multiple roles with Opemikon including both facilitating and managing the CUI built challenge course.
Dave brings to CUI a strong technical knowledge gained through his passion for climbing.

Additionally, Dave has worked for both the Gould Lake Outdoor Center and Outward Bound Canada as a wilderness instructor where he was able to combine his wilderness and leadership skills to deliver experiential programs for diverse student populations. The experience Dave has gained while instructing makes him a patient and thoughtful teacher. Dave believes that people’s opportunity for growth is limitless when they open themselves fully to an experience. Dave thrives on helping people grab hold of that experience and to take the very most from it.

Dave is also an active paddler and white water canoe instructor with Paddle Canada. When not working at CUI, he can often be found exploring beautiful river and waterways around the world enjoying time with friends on the river.
