Dave has a passion for learning and teaching. After graduating from Lakehead’s Outdoor recreation program, Dave continued to develop his teaching and facilitation skills with the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) and the Canadian Snowboard Coaching Program (CSCP). Presently Dave is in the process of completing his Level 4 Coach from the National Coaching Institute.

Dave has been at CUI seasonally since 2007, but active in the camp community since 1994, where he spent several years working in leadership positions at camps, outdoor centres and resorts across Canada. It was work with the Rocky Mountain YMCA, The TaylerStatten Camps and Outward Bound Canada, which eventually led Dave to working with Challenges Unlimited. Dave is an integral team member of CUI providing installation, inspection and training services.

While the snow is flying, Dave is the Head Coach and owner of the Ontario Snowboard Club, where he coaches young SBX athletes towards the international success on and off the snow.
